I was reading my blog from Feb. 20th. that project went down hill quick. Don't remember how many operations I ended up with, but I did get really good at the software. To many distraction that last semester, and I really got lazy as I was about to graduate.
My blog is probally one of the most boring bc of what i'm about to type.
So i have been working on simulatin a cumene plant. Not fun when
one doesn't know the software, but i'm quick to pick it up. So
far i got two reactors, 3 distilation colums, a flash drum, 6 pumps, 5
heatexchangers. But i don't have my production goal yet. A
little under 1% off, which is a little to much. And my molar feed
ratios into the reactor are off by a factor of .2. So more work
for me, and my partners can't keep up, so i just leave them out.
but, i need them to go through and check on all the stupid little
details that start to blend after 8hrs trying to make the thing
work. Not much else to say, thats what i've been focusing on for
the last 3 days. but, it the sim is working, which puts me way
ahead of any other group.
